BACK TO YOU: HOW DO I GROW CREATIVE THINKING?

Professor Welby Ings finished the morning off by nudging us to reconsider what constitutes and creates the context for creativity. Now that gets all thinking…. maybe to truly realise the potential of design for health we need to move outside convention, so the words start looking more like this…
Welby Ings is a Professor in Design and a consultant to many international organizations on issues of creativity and learning. He is also a multi-award winning designer, author and filmmaker. Welby has written and spoken extensively about our obsession with preimagined performance and the benefits of disobedient thought. In 2001 he was awarded the Prime Minister’s inaugural, Supreme Award for Tertiary Teaching Excellence and in 2014 he was awarded the AUT University medal for his contributions to research and creativity.
